Our firm is delighted to welcome Athanase Ricard as an associate lawyer within the Insurance and Commercial Litigation team (led by our partner Ludovic Gayral) and Employment Law team (led by our partner Delphine Ricard).
Athanase began his career in a technical field. Wanting to become a Formula 1 race engineer, he started at the age of 16 with a vocational baccalaureate in automotive mechanics. But his growing passion for rhetoric and advocacy led him to change direction. He decided to become a lawyer. Cars remain a lifelong passion.
He is resolutely mobile: originally from Lyon, he left his hometown after completing his bachelor’s degree to move to Toulon, before coming to Paris.
With an international background, he lived in Germany and then Luxembourg, where he gained experience in an international law firm.
Staying in one place is definitely not easy for him!
He holds a Master I and Master II in Business Law (contracts and companies) from the Law University of Toulon.
He completed his internships at renowned French law firms such as Bignon Lebray, Fiducial by Lamy, Soulier Bunch and Richelieu Avocats.
He was sworn in on 6 November 2025.
Passionate about sailing and mountaineering, he divides his time between the sea and the mountains. He spends his summers at sea hoisting sails, and his springs and winters braving the peaks of the Chamonix valley.
