We are delighted to celebrate Ivan KARMOCHKINE’s swearing-in ceremony, which took place on 14 September 2026, and to welcome him as an associate within the firm’s Healthcare team.
This new addition holds special significance for our firm: Ivan is already well acquainted with the firm. He completed his final legal traineeship within the Healthcare team, working alongside Delphine JAAFAR, before deciding to continue his career with us.
Holding a Master’s degree in Health and Social Law from the University of Paris-Panthéon-Assas, Ivan advises both public and private sector organisations in the healthcare sector, providing both advisory and litigation services.
Before joining VATIER, he furthered his legal training through various roles at renowned Parisian law firms as well as at the Paris Administrative Court.
His career path is also characterised by an international and resolutely multidisciplinary dimension.
Before turning to law, Ivan trained in management and marketing within the luxury and design sectors and worked in international environments, in English and German, for major groups and leading French companies.
It was notably in light of the legal, economic and societal challenges brought to the fore by the health crisis that he chose to redirect his career towards health law.
This dual background in law and economics, combined with a practical understanding of organisations, now informs his approach to our clients’ challenges and fully reflects the way in which we at VATIER support stakeholders in the healthcare sector: rigorous legal expertise, grounded in an understanding of their operational and strategic realities.
We are delighted to see Ivan take this crucial step in his professional life today and, above all, to continue the collaboration with him that began several months ago.
