Our confidentiality policy is intended for users of the www.vatier.com website, which is edited by the Association d’Avocats à Responsabilité Professionnelle Individuelle (French Association of Lawyers with Individual Professional Liability otherwise referred to as AARPI) VATIER, a law firm registered with the Paris Bar in charge of data processing.

This policy is implemented in accordance with (EU) Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27th April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR) and Law No.78-17 of 6th January 1978 on data processing, data files and individual liberties, as amended. 

Collected data

When browsing the website, technical data (IP address, logs) may be stored by the website.
The Firm does not process, via its website, sensitive data within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR.
Visitors to the website may where necessary contact us by sending an email to: vatier@vatier.com.
Data relating to persons may also be processed through exchanges on social networks (Twitter, LinkedIn) on which AARPI VATIER is active.
Such technical data is stored by AARPI VATIER for the purposes set out in this policy and for a maximum period of thirteen (13) months. Beyond this period, data is automatically deleted. 

Data processing
Users of the website are in no event required to provide personal data to AARPI VATIER other than technical data.
Technical data collected is used for the exclusive purpose of ensuring the proper functioning and security of the website.
Such data processing is based on the legitimate interest of AARPI VATIER to be able to present its services and ensure the proper functioning and security of its website. 

Website user rights
In accordance with legal and regulatory provisions, visitors to the website may exercise the following rights:
Right of access (Article 15 GDPR) and rectification (Article 16 GDPR), update, completeness and data portability;
Right to erase personal data (article 17 GDPR) when such data is inaccurate, incomplete, ambiguous;
Right to restrict and object to data processing;
Right to file a complaint with the CNIL via the following link: https://www.cnil.fr/agir;
In the event of death, the person’s data shall be destroyed by AARPI VATIER;
The exercise of these rights may be limited should AARPI VATIER be bound by a legal or regulatory obligation to keep such data, or should it prove necessary to keep data for probative purposes.
Persons who wish to exercise their rights must provide AARPI VATIER with the elements necessary to identify them. 

Security of processed data
AARPI VATIER undertakes to implement all the technical and organizational measures necessary to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data it processes.
In the event of use of subcontractors, AARPI VATIER shall ensure that they are subject to a confidentiality obligation and that they respect the firm’s commitments in terms of security and access to data. 

Transfer of data outside of the EU
AARPI VATIER undertakes not to transfer data from users of the website outside of the European Union.
