Rachel Ashley leads our « Corporate – M&A » team.

Rachel is involved in the structuring and restructuring of groups, acquisitions and disposals of companies, and more particularly assists foreign investors in France.

Rachel advises French and foreign groups on their internal growth strategies (development of new activities, creation of subsidiaries, etc.) and external growth (acquisition of companies in France and abroad). She offers support at all stages of company acquisitions and disposals (cross-border or domestic), audits, equity investments and partnerships.

Rachel assists foreign clients with FDI checks with the French Treasury, either in their applications for prior review or in their applications for prior authorisation. She also files declarations of direct investment or disinvestment transactions with the Banque de France.

She also assists managers and shareholders in their share transfers, restructurings, contributions and sale/acquisition of businesses or branches of activity.

In addition, Rachel assists her clients at all stages of the company’s life, whether in the context of the incorporation and the corporate life of their companies (boards, committees and shareholder meetings), or in the day-to-day management (delegations of powers, intragroup agreements, guarantees, securities, etc.).

Finally, she assists companies with regulated activities in their various formalities with the French authorities.

Rachel joined Vatier as a partner in January 2023. She had previously founded the law firm Astine end of 2011. Rachel started her career with Bignon & Lebray beginning 1998, before joining LPA at the end of 2000, and then the Paris office of the Anglo-Saxon law firm, Gowling WLG, in 2010.
